How the Cloacina Collective Strengthens Institutional Endurance

The Cloacina Collective operates as a field of inquiry and applied thought.

Its work examines the relationship between visible outcomes and the unseen labour that sustains people, institutions and systems. This inquiry moves between writing, advisory practice, organisational engagement and public contribution.

Individual Advisory & Executive Coaching

Private advisory or executive coaching for senior leaders and individuals carrying complex responsibility — diagnosing invisible load, strengthening ethical decision-making, and creating the structural conditions for sustainable leadership.

Practical tools used in this work include reflective practices such as the Just ONE THING Method, which supports leaders to sustain momentum while carrying complex responsibility.

Organisational Engagement

Strategic consultation, facilitated inquiry, and executive development for Boards and Senior Leadership Teams of complex institutions — making invisible workload visible, diagnosing where it concentrates, addressing structural burnout, and strengthening long-term institutional endurance.

Writing

Writing is central to the work of the Collective.

It develops language for forms of labour that are widely experienced and rarely named, bringing leadership, ethics, cultural memory and lived institutional reality into sustained inquiry.

Essays

Essays are published through the Collective, and publicly, exploring unseen work, structural burnout, maintenance, responsibility and transformation.

Publications & Contributions

Contributions to external publications, edited collections and journals engaging questions of leadership, culture and institutional life.

Commissions

Commissioned essays and long-form articles for media, organisations and curated collections.

Books & Major Works

Non-fiction projects, guided journals and extended bodies of work emerging from the Collective.

Fiction

Literary fiction informed by the same concerns: responsibility, hidden labour, moral tension and the structures that shape human endurance.
